Canapés

Before embarking on your party plans, it is best to consider what role you want the food to play.

  • Are you serving the canapés with drinks prior to a three course dinner?
  • Will the bowl food replace a dinner? Also consider the timing of the event.
  • For pre-dinner canapés we suggest 2 to 3 snacks per person serving a variety of 4.
  • For a drinks party we suggest 8 items per person allowing a variety of 10 choices.
  • For something more substantial we also recommend bowl food or a variety of both canapes and bowl food.
  • Please consider choosing 3 to 4 vegetarian options, 2 fish and 3 to 4 meat items.
  • If you have guests with special dietary requirements, please do let us know.

Bowl Food

Bowl food catering is becoming increasingly popular especially when wanting to entertain many people and not being able to seat them all. A bowl food menu can be more social than a sit down meal. Bowl food dishes can be sweet or savoury, and offer a more substantial alternative to canapés that still enables guests to mingle and network without being pinned to a particular seat.  We suggest 3 to 4 items per person and recommend something cold, 2 hot and then a sweet ending.
